I 3D printed a better key holder

For years, I’ve used one of those classic key hook boards—the kind with cute houses and tiny pegs that look great until you actually try to use them.

I hate them.

very time, I had to line up the key ring just right, fiddle with it, then hang it with all my concentration.

Doesn’t sound like much. But when you're doing this 20+ times a day, it’s frustrating. So I wanted something I could just hang keys on without looking every time.

I designed a minimalist magnetic holder using a ring magnet and a 3D-printed sleeve. It’s a tiny thing, but it’s made a real difference. I designed it in Fusion 360 and had it printed.

It holds the magnet snugly, mounts to the wall, and just... works. I can now walk in, throw my keys at the holder, and they stick. No aiming, no effort, no missing the hook three times while holding groceries or the baby.
